About the comic Goth House

I've been drawing Goth House since 1991, when we got kicked out of the real goth house. Its original home was a 'zine called Throwrug (home of the famous Review Jam, Who Can Beat up Whom, and the Kurt Cobain posthumous Ouija Board interview). It was edited by Karlos the Jackal and distributed in the northern bit of the I-5 corridor. Maybe the southern bit too, I don't know.

You might have seen a copy. Then again, you might not.

"Say, Julie, do you think you could do a comic?
Maybe about a band or something?"

Karl started running a (very cool) video store and Throwrug hasn't come out in a long time. So Goth House became its own independent entity.

I use the web site the way I might have used Throwrug -- regular updates available free. Then, sometimes I come out with printed collections.

My intent with Goth House is humor, since a good laugh now and then is the only thing standing between me and the vertiginous abyss of eternal despair.

Thanks to Ulysses for hosting the site.
