Frequently asked questions about the next six weeks Julie will be spending

So, why haven’t we heard about this before?

Because I was on an alternates list. You know, first runner-up. Understudy. That sort of thing.

But the conference starts today.

I’m aware of that. In fact, I was thinking just last week, "Ha-ha, wouldn’t it be funny if somebody dropped out the Saturday before the conference?"

And that happened?

It is. Although, it was due to a death in the family of the person whose slot I took, so it’s not actually funny. I guess life is like that sometimes.

So, what, they called you a little more than 24 hours ago and said, hey, can you come to Clarion West?

That’s about right.

Have you gotten much sleep?

No, not really.

Where’s my Friday update? I want my Friday update!

Well, I’m very rarely enough on top of things to actually get the Friday update done on Friday, as long-term readers of the site know. And then, remarkably early on Saturday morning, I got hit in the head with a brick and have been running around screaming (partly in joy, partly in panic) ever since. Which leaves very little time for Goth House, frankly.
If you’re really feeling deprived, enjoy our extensive back catalog.

So what’s up with Goth House for the next six weeks?

Paul will be filling in as a guest Goth House creator. It is finally his chance to fill the site with the kinds of jokes that he thinks are funny, but I don’t. Should be fun!

Are you at least going to update the Parlour?

Maybe. I am pretty sure I am not one of those people who will keep a Clarion Blog or anything, but I might occasionally be moved to post something.
